how to book

  • To start your booking request, hit the “Book” next to your chosen Holiday Menu.

  • Choose your desired date and time on the calendar widget.

  • Complete the Holiday Booking form to select your menu items. This is also where you’ll share more information about your event with us, such as the address and attendee count.

  • Submit your request & pay your deposit.

    Hit “Pay Now” and submit your deposit (the $540 minimum) to book your service. The deposit will go towards your final balance.

  • You’ll receive your final invoice from us- adjusted for your menu selections and guest count- within 24 hours of submitting your book. Once you’re ready, pay your invoice and add a tip if you’d like. Note: Final invoices must be paid no later than 72 hours prior to service to keep your booking.

 FAQs

  • We bring parties to the greater Austin area. You choose the location, and we're there. The first 15 miles of travel from 78721 to your location are free. After 15 miles, we charge $2 per mile.

  • We take allergens and dietary restrictions seriously, and we try our best to accommodate whenever possible. Please list all allergens and/or dietary restrictions in the booking form. We'll confirm specifics prior to your party. ALL ALLERGENS AND DIETARY RESTRICTIONS MUST BE COMMUNICATED PRIOR TO 72 HOURS BEFORE YOUR PARTY. WE ARE UNABLE TO ACCOMMODATE REQUESTS AFTER THAT TIME.

  • Hosts are expected to provide:

    -A clean kitchen space for the chef

    -All tables and chairs (we recommend placing them in a U or L shape to maximize interaction)

    -All plates, bowls, silverware, cups and napkins

    -All post-event cleanup and trash bins/bags

    Bonus Points: Play music and offer to-go cartons for leftovers.

    For outdoor events, consider providing lighting for outdoor nighttime events, bug spray and/or fly deterrent .

  • Your chef will arrive at the start of your booking time. The chef will set up during the first 30 minute of your 90 minute time slot. The chef will then kick off your Happy Cooking Party. Each party lasts ~1 hour.

  • Our Traditional Dinner Party and Chef Party services come with a single printed menu with Happy Cooking branding that we’ll display in an acrylic sign holder by the chef’s workspace.

    With the custom menu add-on for $10 total, we’ll work with you to design a personalized menu card that matches your event theme (e.g. “Sarah’s Bach Dinner”). We’ll print one per guest on cardstock to include on their table setting.

    For our Catering service, we provide tent cards for each menu item with a list of dietaries.

  • Please email hello@happycookingatx.com as soon as possible so we can make sure to bring the right amount of food. You can update your guest count up to 3 days before your party.

  • Yep! Fill out the custom Happy Cooking experience request form. We’ll be in touch within 48 hours.

  • Thanksgiving: Friday, November 21

    Christmas: Friday, December 19

    NYE: Friday, December 26

  • Yep! Feel free to build your own Fall offering with any option from the Autumn Feast, Fall Brunch or Tailgate Bites menus. Email us at hello@happycookingatx.com to create your cross-menu experience.

  • We understand things come up. If you need to cancel or reschedule, give us a head's up at least 72 hours before your party to receive a full refund. Cancellations after that time will receive a 50% refund and reschedule requests will be subject to a 50% fee. Why? The chef will grocery shop and begin to prep 72 hours before your party, so we'll need to cover those costs.

  • Tips are greatly appreciated! Our chefs work hard to give you a great experience. You can add a tip using your payment link or bring cash to your event. 20% gratuity is automatically added to groups over 8.

  • Yes! We’re testing new seasonal offerings on a regular basis. Sign up for our mailing list to be notified when they’re available.
